“Great Quality – If Youre On A Budget, Go For It! ”

FIRST IMPRESSION: I got this in the mail an hour before, and Im giving you guys my initial impression of the computer keyboard, not following days or weeks or months of usage. – The keys are a little mushy and I feel like Im not registering almost as fast as I usually can because I must work with more effort to strike the keys. The traveling distance is about 3-4 millimeters, which might be marginally more than just what youre used to as well. – The keys along with the Redragon emblem have very little LED lights beneath them, but they arent very bright. I like to keep off the lights. – This keyboard is very silent. I wouldnt say its silent, but its definitely a good deal quieter than most rubber dome keyboards. Based on the kind of desk you have, putting a rubber mat (such as a mouse pad) underneath the keyboard will make your typing a whole lot quieter than when the keyboard is directly in your desk. – The keys dont seem to be detachable, or at least not without potentially damaging the matte finish using a level head to put them off… so do your absolute best to keep dust and dirt away from it otherwise YOU WILL have problems in the future.EDIT: The keys are removable, so dont worry your pretty little head. – The wrist rest is pretty comfortable, but I feel like I’d be more comfortable typing if my palms were raised a bit more. Im also a little worried about the matte finish rubbing away over time.EDIT: The matte finish on the wrist rest hasnt worn even after over a year of usage. You probably dont have to be worried. – The keyboard is lightweight, but when put in my desk it has a relatively sturdy feel to it and also doesnt bend. It does move around very marginally. – The kickstands underneath the keyboard raise it up about 3/4 of an inch. They have a plastic underside instead of rubber, so its possible that this may let it move just a little bit.EDIT: The kickstands will also be slightly delicate, and one of mine has broken off… :-LRB– The braided cord is approximately 6 feet long and feels extremely durable, which is great if youre rough in your wires, I guess. The USB is white and gold-plated, therefore it seems to be a 1.0. It works with my black 2.0, blue 3.0 and red 3.1 USB interfaces. If your keyboard doesnt work in almost any of your USB ports, then your computer keyboard is defective.Someone wrote a review stating that when they received it, the Input was sticking beyond the box. I’m not completely sure what they mean by that, but when I got it all of the keys were absolutely intact.A few tricks you ought to know before assuming your computer keyboard is defective: â$cents The lightbulb key switches the colour of the LED lights. Â$cents FN+lightbulb interrupts breathing lights â$pennies FN+- slows down breathing â$pennies FN+equals speeds up breathing â$cents FN+Pg-Up ends up the brightness of the LEDs â$pennies FN+Pg-Down dims the LEDs â$pennies FN+Win activates Grow Lock â$pennies FN+W swaps WASD and arrow keysWHAT that I RECOMMEND:Use this keyboard having an extended gaming mouse pad underneath it. Not only will it minimize the noise, but itll also eliminate the odds of it moving around. You may get one for around $10 if you dont already have one. –UPDATE 7/9/2016 :was a couple of weeks since I purchased this, so I thought Id update my review with a few of my observations. – Thus far, the matte material is showing no signs of wear at all. Occasionallyâ$’, the substance The surface is easy to wash (I only use a slightly moist cloth). You can take the keys off if youre quite careful. – Its a lot easier for me to type on it now than it was when I first got it. Im up to my normal typing speed today, so the keys, though, a small soft, arent holding me back… so dont let this scare you. – The response time is absolutely impeccable, so if youre an easy typer or even a gamer having a budget, you can count on this keyboard. – At the moment, following a couple of weeks of usage, this is unquestionably one of the BEST KEYBOARDS you can get with this price.-UPDATE 7/29/2017 :Its been over a year since I bought this keyboard. The mechanisms are showing no signs of use, but some of the matte finish has begun to wear off 3 distinct keys (A, S, and D…. can you tell Im a participant?) .When the black paint wears away on the keys, so there’s just clear plastic underneath. However, the matte finish hasnt rubbed out on the surrounding plastic or onto the wrist rest itself, although Ive been using this keyboard regularly and for more than a year.If youre concerned about what I said about the mushy keys and longer travelling space, dont be. Its definitely something which you get used to over time, but it shouldnt affect anything you do too radically. Since it can be if getting any new computer keyboard, there is a bit of a learning curve.Changed my score from 3 stars to 4 stars. Durable and high quality 🙂
